I find so much peace in the fact that Jesus NEVER changes - He is ALWAYS the same & He loves each and every one of us unconditionally and more than we can even imagine!

Croup....

I fell like all I have to post about lately is illness. Sorry - that's really all that's going on around here. Mackenzie is doing really good, although she does still sem to be running a very low fever. I've been working on pre-school things with her like cutting and writing when I don't have someone attached to me.

Jonas - well - he's keeping us on our toes. He was picked up by an ambulence yesterday. He woke up doing really bad and was very, very hot. His breathing was strained and every breath he took was taking so much work. His poor little chest was sinking in each time he sucked in air. It was so scary to watch and just heart breaking.

Once we arrived at the hospital, they took his temp - first under the arm which read 101.5 I think. I knew that was wrong so they did it the old school way - and yep - it was much higher - 104.8 to be exact! He received breathing treatments while at our home & again on the way to the hospital. At the hospital they gave him some oral medication to help with breathing, motrin, another breathing treatment & had the tubing up his nose. My poor boy screamed for at least 3 hours non stop and just saying "ouch" and "mama". Within an hour his temp was down to 102.7 and by the time we left, he was a new kid.

The doctor is calling it a severe case of croup. I'm thinking it's that AND possibly what Mackenzie had....

He slept okay - just okay - and did some cuddling this morning with me & daddy. He wants nothing to do with his sister which is making her so sad.

Here's the little man right now...he took over my recliner - and yes, the boy who usually only has his paci in his crib is being allowed to have it out of his crib right now...

Hanging out with Junior, wearing his Bob shirt and his cute little wool shorties from Just Ducky.
